Assalamu Alaikum, Wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuhu I am exceeding warmed to stand before you as a passionate advocate for an issue that can affects our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends and colleagues. I speak of cancer, a disease that has left an indelible mark or countless lives and families. As we gather here today to launch the cancer awareness campaign. A critical Initiative that has the power to save lives foster hope and strengthen the bonds of our community. Creating awareness is the first crucial step in this fight. It's our collective responsibility to educate ourselves and our loved ones about the importance of early detection mammograms , self examinations and regular check-ups can make all the difference. We shall encourage the women in our life to prioritize their health, to know their bodies and to seek help if something seems abnormal, as early detection of the disease saves lives. At this point, let me state that, I'm committed to fostering a healthcare system that is not only accessible but also equipped to provide the best possible care and support for early detection of diseases and battling with cancer. This administration will continue to work diligently and partiner with all stakeholders to ensure that everyone, regardless of their economic circumstances, has access to the healthcare they need. I call on people living in the state to complement the efforts of our government by ensuring that they patronise healthcare services available in health facilities across the state, through attending ANC and hospital delivery, routine Immunization of our children against killer disease, prompt attendance to health facilities for the treatment of illnesses and embracing all state healthcare programs and services. In conclusion, I wish to invite all of us to join hands as a community, during this cancer awareness month and beyond, to create a future where cancer is preventable, treatable and ultimately curable. Together we can change the course of this disease and ensure that all our citizens have the chance to live healthy, fulfilling lives. May Allah bless our collective efforts with the light of hope on the path to a cancer-free Sokot State and beyond. Thank you and Wassalamu Alaikum
